Shane Warne, one of England's greatest adversaries of the last 25 years, will lend a helping hand to the old enemy on Friday when he joins them at their practice in Sharjah ahead of Sunday's third Test against Pakistan.
The legendary Australian will jump ship for just one day to advise England leg-spinner Adil Rashid at the invitation of his fellow countryman and now England coach Trevor Bayliss.
Before any Australians become indignant at the sight of Warne, who has been a long-term critic of England captain Alastair Cook, he was also to be seen at Pakistan practice on Thursday offering advice to another leg-spinner in Yasir Shah.

Clearly Warne, who has been in the United Arab Emirates to promote a golf masters tournament, is keen to help any wrist spinner learn the tricks of the trade that made the Australian the greatest of them all and arguably the best of any bowler in Test history.
Warne will play a small part at England's training session but the invitation carries on a 'tradition' begun by Peter Moores in the Caribbean earlier this year and then continued by England director of cricket Andrew Strauss in inviting legends to address the current team.Joe Root reveals he feared he 'might not play for England... The difference this time is that the advice will come from someone who has spent his career largely taunting England, firstly with the band and more recently with a microphone in his role as Michael Clarke's great friend and Australia's No1 cheerleader.
Warne is in Dubai until Friday, having launched an Icons of Cricket golf event, and said: 'If I can find some time this week, I'd love to go down and have a bowl with him. I think he's a fantastic, wonderful bowler.'
Warne has also been having a bowl with Pakistan star Yasir Shah during his stay in Dubai
Warne said on Thursday: 'Just finished a net session with Shah. He has the best leg break I've ever seen !!'
Rashid was outbowled in Dubai by Pakistan leg-spinner Yasir Shah - who with 69 wickets in his first 11 Tests over the past year, has risen to second in the International Cricket Council rankings.
Comparing the two leg-spinners, Warne added: 'They are completely different bowlers.
'Yasir is a real hustle-and-bustle leg-spinner.
'To me he's the best in international cricket at the moment, and I hope Rashid will get better.
'He's not as fluent as someone like Yasir, but that doesn't mean he's not as effective.
'If he gets his confidence up I think he can be a real handful.'
